CD1-10-Marks

Marks
(Music & Lyric: simple-person)

Memories filled with question marks, truncated ways
Chaos of flashes from the past, checkered lights and shades
Floating spirits that will not go and will not grow
Sinking dust that will not reply and will not comply
Restless marks of life and death, a decade flew by

What about marking a fullstop, let it transit
Dreams and bitter obsessions from the past, getting tiring
No forgetting and no heaviness from indignation
Serenely hold up the head, be astounded at the changes around
Perhaps someday, tears will be in the laughter

* Burgeoning grass will not seek solace in falling leaves
Slumbering together in fierce winter is for a greener dawn in spring
Like the mark of sorrow buried long ago in my mind
It will weather to forward a rebellious life

Perhaps there are marks in the streets, giving signs
Burgeoning grass under the wall, dancing steps of those days
The setting sun and the crimson hues, ...
... rising and falling, changing embodiments
Chasing after the street lamps, lights and shades go wild again
Young lives love the brightness and fear not getting lost

*

Young lives have their own implicit marks, ...
... sequeling the dancing steps
Old marks from the past, new angers
Wandering in the flamboyant vanities, ...
... mocking at the ostentation of the millennium
Falling for the crumbling walls deeply cracked by tribulations
Youthful and ridiculous lives themselves will shock

CD1-09-The Spirits of Labourers

The Spirits of Laborers
(Music & Lyric: simple-person)

Sinuously my body is rambling, perching on the skeletons of buildings
Amidst the cross stitches of city scenes
and the tightly compressed mud, my stories are entombed

For every inhalation of toxics and dust, profit indexes are exhaled
Spiraling with the ups and downs of investments
and the extravagant annual firework display, my breath is flamed

Silently my back relates, how computer eats away at lives
On the heavily burdened shoulders and
inside the work-wretched sinews and bones, my trauma is buried

Oh … oh … … la … … la … …

It is my body condemning the ostentation of prosperity
Leaving the darkened corners, our work-eroded bodies will embrace
our will is unbending

Teardrops will come together, depositing sediments from the heaviness of time
Though dreams maybe trampled and destitute
spirits in the wind will always sing, the stories of laborers

CD1-08-How Wonderful Life Is

How Wonderful Life Is
(Music & Lyric: simple-person)

Breathing out a cloud of smoke,
reality is mysteriously cruel
How wonderful it is to sleep for half of the day

I realize with my body under the street light,
money flows via desire
How wonderful it is to remain at a state
in between consciousness and dreaminess

The pain from my attachment becomes worthless;
the hole in my heart cannot be fulfilled
How wonderful it is to remember
a sheer piece of memory in my mind

The flower signals a final warning:
a dream is like an eternal chasing
How wonderful it is to free my soul and
set it running with no regret
